Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations. You will follow all applicable Safety and Health policies and practices, reporting any unsafe or unhealthy conditions observed in the workplace. Your expertise will be vital in consulting with supervisors regarding issues, unusual problems, or developments, clarifying the direction and scope of efforts. Responsibilities include equipment inspection, maintenance, and repair, providing technical assistance for new machinery, and adapting existing processes to meet operational needs.

ResponsibilitiesConduct ongoing preventative visual inspections of machinery and load-handling equipment.Provide all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and repair as required.Offer on-call repair service for machinery.Order and keep track of machine parts as necessary.Adapt and install new production equipment for operations, considering electrical, computer, layout, and mechanical applications.Study and review manuals and literature to stay updated on new equipment.Complete preventative maintenance reports and other documents to communicate equipment status.Perform lock-out tag out on all equipment.Conduct weekly and monthly preventative maintenance.Complete work orders in a timely manner.Set up and operate all equipment and perform entry-level maintenance tasks.Maintain the plant, including unclogging drains, fixing hoses, and changing light bulbs.Essential SkillsMechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics skills.Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.Experience with maintenance computer systems for work order processing.Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance expertise.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School or GED equivalent or 1–3 months related experience in a manufacturing environment.Fabrication skills, including machining and welding with TIG/MIG are a plus.Basic computer and math skills.Ability to interact effectively with technicians, supervisors, and members of other trades.Safe handling of hazardous materials.For immediate consideration, or for more information, please contact Matt Tischbein at 717.954.8738. or apply today!Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00/yr.
