**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining all industrial equipment, ensuring its continuous operation. This role involves performing preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing technical solutions for repairs. You will participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives and utilize precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters. **Responsibilities** + Conduct maintenance on industrial equipment including conveyors, photo eye sensors, packaging equipment, labelers, cappers, and other various machinery. + Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all equipment. + Troubleshoot equipment and determine issues to ensure constant operation of converting equipment and lines. + Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives. + Implement technical solutions and perform all necessary repairs. + Utilize precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters. **Essential Skills** + Experience in maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. + Proficiency in conveyor maintenance and working with motors. + At least 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience focusing on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and 3 phase motors. + Comfortable with changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience in GMP or Food Manufacturing environments is a plus. + High school diploma or GED required. + Prefer 3+ years of experience working in a GMP environment. + Computer proficiency in MS Office. + 5 years of related manufacturing experience in an FDA facility is ideal; 3 years in a non-FDA facility is acceptable. **Why Work Here?** Join a stable company offering great benefits and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) program. As a liquid filling facility with FDA regulations, candidates with experience in liquid filling or packaging, particularly from the food and beverage industry, will find this environment familiar. Note that some departments may have strong odors, such as mouthwash, lotion, or alcohol. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, Tennessee. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $29.50/hr.
