Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing minor plumbing and electrical repairs, assisting the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment, and conducting general interior maintenance such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems. The role also includes completing special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned. Additionally, the mechanic will move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested and perform facility inspections, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations. Responding effectively to emergencies, recognizing safety hazards and proposing methods to eliminate them, and participating in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs are key aspects of the job. Documenting work performance and materials procurement is also required. **Responsibilities** + Conduct minor plumbing and electrical repairs. + Assist operations team in maintenance and repair of building and equipment. + Perform general interior maintenance tasks, including hanging pictures and installing keyboard trays. + Complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance. + Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested. + Perform facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions. + Respond effectively to emergencies and recognize safety hazards. + Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs. + Document work performance and materials procurement. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, chillers, boilers, and BAS. + 3+ years of experience in general building repair and maintenance. + Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 28 ft. + Mechanical and electrical aptitude. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Valid state-issued driver's license. + Completion of applicable technical training program is desirable but not required. **Why Work Here?** This is a growing organization with numerous opportunities for advancement, providing employees with extensive growth potential. The organization is currently preparing to break ground on a baseball field and stadium on the campus. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McLean, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
