Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all plant equipment. Technicians will inspect, repair, and install machinery as needed and work off blueprints during installations. Every other Wednesday, the maintenance team focuses on preventative maintenance, shutting down the rest of the plant for this purpose. Occasionally, technicians will also handle pipe installations and repairs. **Responsibilities** + Perform troubleshooting and repairs on all plant equipment. + Conduct preventative maintenance tasks as per assigned tickets on a tablet. + Inspect, repair, and install machinery as required. + Work from blueprints during machinery installations. + Engage in pipe installations and repairs when necessary. + Collaborate with supervisors to ensure accurate PM documentation. + Order necessary parts for repairs. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance position. + Ability to complete the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test. + Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues. + Strong mechanical repair skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Excellent communication skills to collaborate with supervisors. + Experience working in a manufacturing environment. **Why Work Here?** The company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits program, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/AD&D/LTD insurance, 401k, and Medical & Dependent Care Spending Accounts. Maintenance mechanics work on a rotating schedule, consisting of 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. The schedule alternates between 7 days on nights, followed by three days off, then 7 days on days, followed by four days off. Employees use tablets to respond to reactive maintenance needs and scheduled preventative maintenance tasks. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, Ohio. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
