Job Description
This is a mechanical maintenance position where you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues on various machines. You will work with bearing machines, wire cutting machines, shape enders, centerless grinders, and motors. A significant part of your job will involve rebuilding gearboxes. You will also handle hydraulic pumps and various types of motors. The role is primarily mechanical with minimal electrical tasks, which involve understanding what is 'hot' and what not to touch. The job consists of 75% preventive maintenance, 15% reactive maintenance, and 10% project-based work.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on machines.Work with bearing machines, wire cutting machines, shape enders, centerless grinders, and repairing motors.Rebuild gearboxes 100% of the time.Read manuals to understand how to replace parts or bearings on machines.Work on hydraulic pumps and various types of motors.Perform preventive maintenance (75%), reactive maintenance (15%), and project-based tasks (10%).Essential SkillsMechanical maintenance experienceAbility to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issuesExperience with hydraulic pumps and motorsProficiency in reading manuals and blueprintsBasic electrical skillsMechanical repair experience on pumps or pneumatic componentsPreventive maintenance experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsOwn basic hand tools and a toolbox3 years of mechanical repair experienceAbility to change out a motorElectrical experience (preferred)Wastewater experience (preferred)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
