Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings remains optimal. This role involves utilizing a variety of tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine preventive maintenance on machines, building systems, and physical infrastructure.Use tools ranging from hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical/electronic testing devices.Inspect, operate, or test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.Diagnose mechanical problems, consult blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs for solutions.Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical/electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.Operate forklifts and work from Mobile Elevating Work Platforms like scissor lifts or boom lifts.Inspect drives, motors, belts; check fluid levels; replace filters; perform maintenance actions following checklists.Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools; reassemble equipment.Maintain and install all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and needs among work teams; escalate/request support as needed.Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to inform installation, development, or operation activities.Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts with rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.Execute preventative maintenance on motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, pneumatic/hydraulic systems used in manufacturing.Log work orders, check out parts, and review data through the CMMS system (MVP Plant).Essential SkillsRepairing machines or systems using the needed tools.Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.Troubleshooting to determine causes of operating errors and decide solutions.Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed for a job.Monitoring performance of oneself and others to make improvements or take corrective action.Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure machines are working properly.Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance.Basic understanding of electrical systems and CNC equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsBasic computer skills.Ability to follow all OSHA Safety and Company Programs, Lock Out/Tag Out, and Electrical Safety Program.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.Understanding relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective security operations.Team player willing to work with minimal supervision.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $64480.00/yr.
