**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
The Maintenance Mechanic will perform a variety of preventative, routine, and emergency tasks for the upkeep and sustaining of plant machinery and infrastructure used to produce high-performance products and materials. The role supports a production facility that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week to meet customer demands.
**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, electric motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
+ Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
+ Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
+ Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
+ Fabricate repair parts and forms by using machine shop instruments and equipment.
+ Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
+ Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
+ Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
+ Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
+ Follow all work instructions, equipment procedures, quality standards, general maintenance standards, and safety rules and regulations.
+ Accurately record time, activities, and goods movements for all maintenance work orders using the supplied system.
+ Ensure proper documentation by revising specifications as needed.
+ Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial manufacturing environment.
+ Experience troubleshooting gearboxes, pumps, valves, actuators, pipes, seals, bearings, and shafts, etc.
**Shift Schedule/Compensation:**
+ Location: Goose Creek, SC
+ 6:30am-3:00pm Monday-Friday, on-call rotation on weekends every 3 weeks
+ $29-$34/hr (OT is offered)
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $34.00/hr.

**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Goose Creek,SC.
