Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic will be tasked with ensuring the optimal functioning of all industrial equipment. This includes performing preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing technical solutions. The role involves using precision measuring equipment like micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters to maintain converting equipment and lines continuously. Additionally, the mechanic will participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.

ResponsibilitiesConduct maintenance on all industrial equipment including conveyors, photo eye sensors, packaging equipment, labelers, and cappers.Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment runs efficiently.Troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly.Ensure converting equipment and lines operate continuously.Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.Implement technical solutions and perform necessary repairs.Utilize precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters.Essential SkillsProficiency in maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.Experience with conveyor maintenance and 3 phase motors.Comfortable with changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves.Minimum 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience working on hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferably 3+ years of experience in a GMP environment.Computer proficiency in MS Office.Previous experience in GMP or Food Manufacturing is advantageous.Best candidate has a minimum of 5 years related manufacturing experience in an FDA facility.Average candidate has 3 years experience in a non-FDA facility.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The facility is a privately held health and beauty care company operating nearly a million square feet of production and distribution centers. The plant operates around the clock, five days a week, distributing products nationwide seven days a week. The work environment includes strong odors depending on the department, with scents like mouthwash, lotion, and alcohol.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
