Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production and facilities equipment. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and repairing equipment to support plant capacity and cost control. Your expertise will be crucial in building strong relationships with machine operators and other production employees, training them on job aids, work instructions, and total productive maintenance procedures. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance and on-demand repairs to maintain the production schedule and satisfy regulatory compliance. + Respond with urgency to unplanned mechanical issues affecting performance or safety. + Complete safety work orders as assigned. + Identify and collaborate with purchasing to order parts, effectively communicating the status of parts orders to managers, supervisors, and machine operators. + Develop and maintain spare parts inventory. + Apply experience and skills in troubleshooting PLCs, automation, and controls. + Safely and correctly use shop tools such as hand tools, drill, grinder, and welder. + Safely operate forklift and scissor lift. + Perform inspections and scheduled maintenance of plant machinery and equipment, including pumps, valves, waste water systems, water treatment systems, and motors. + Assist in the construction and installation of new equipment. + Uphold plant safety, health, and environmental programs. + Inspire adoption of company mission and values. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a production environment, preferably bottling. + Associates or technical degree in electrical and mechanical preferred. + Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, gears, bearings, lubricants, electromechanical devices and systems, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. + Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders. + Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Dynamics Navision, MS Rockwell software with Control Logix 5000. + Forklift Certification. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with controls, Factory Talk View SCADA, and liquid filling systems preferred. + Ability to stand, reach, walk, stoop, push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50lbs. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to multi-task and work individually as well as part of a team. + Willingness to follow OSHA safety standards. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan with company matching, affordable health coverage through medical, dental, and vision programs, and a generous paid time off program that grows with your tenure. The facility is loud with numerous conveyors, and requires steel toe shoes. You will work a swing shift from 2pm to 10:30pm, with occasional Saturdays, in a temp-to-perm position. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, Nevada. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
