This Position reports to:
Maintenance Supervisor
Rebuild, repair, and maintain in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer’s specifications on all plant equipment. The performance of this job ensures that the facility runs efficiently to complete production requirements. Machinery must be maintained, avoiding downtime.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Safety
Understands and follows plant safety and procedures.Avoids or prevents hazardous conditions from developing.Wear appropriate protective equipment as required, dress and conducts self in a safe manner.Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains Lean 5S.Participates in plant safety objectives.Job Functions
Supports company mission, vision and goalsAble to work with sense of urgency and prioritizing tasksUse hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment and testing instrumentsObserve mechanical and electrical devices in operation to locate cause of troubleDismantle devices to gain access to remove defective partsAdjust functional parts of devices and control instrumentsRepair, replace or rebuild necessary parts to make machine function safelyStart device to test performanceTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on all machines and equipment for proper operationUse prints and drawings provided by the manufacturer and the engineering department for the rebuilding proceduresLay out electrical panels from drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions, which would include microprocessors, relays, etc.Set up and operate drill press, grinder, welding, and cutting equipment to make and/or repair partsPerform preventative maintenance on equipment and machineryObserve company safety rules, regulations, and policiesPerform, as assigned, other similar or related dutiesMay be required to work other shifts and over-timeHelp maintain an orderly and clean working environmentForklift certification required. Must have clean driving recordInterprets and reacts to data trends on available up time, mean time between repairsEducation and Experience
High School Education, GED or EquivalentMust have 2 years post-secondary technical training or 5 years industrial maintenance experienceAbility to lift to 40lbs and perform push/pull functionsCan work overtime to meet Business ObjectivesCan work a weekend schedule as needed.Skills and/or Training
