Position Summary

Starting Pay:  Based on experience

Scheduled - Sunday - Friday 11PM-7 AM

A BRIEF OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Facility Service Manager, the Forklift Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting powered industrial equipment service calls issues and performing repairs and scheduled maintenance on equipment based upon customer demands as directed by the manager.

Essential Functions:

Acts as a top-level specialist to deliver technical support for the Forklift Maintenance area under limited supervision, referring deviations from standard practices to managers.

Diagnose faulty equipment and apply knowledge of functional operation of unit and systems to identify the extent and cause of malfunction Establishes preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for all systems and equipment.Perform scheduled maintenance efficiently and effectively, in line with company procedures.Ensures adherence to all regulatory and organizational safety guidelines.Conducts most complex daily work orders.Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques and processes.Maintain records of all service work and repairs performed in line with company procedure. Turn in paperwork in a timely fashion, ensuring accuracy and legibility.Regular (daily/weekly/monthly) equipment inspection and checks.Exhibit a professional demeanor, promoting goodwill between the company and client by providing a superior level of customer service.Unplanned electrical, mechanical maintenance and repairs.Control and adjustment of sensors and switches.Exchange and set up of mechanical & Electrical wear and tear parts for rolling stock.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read, write and count accurately.Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work a flexible schedule or overtime as required, to include shift rotation.Ability to work safely with and around 24 Volt, 110 Volts and 480 Volt electrical systems.Ability to work safely with and around operating mechanical systems.Read, comprehend, and interpret technical reference manuals and wiring diagrams.Ability to work within a team atmosphere.Ability to be trained in Lock-out Tag-out procedures as an “Authorized” user.Extensive powered industrial truck repair knowledge as well as CMMS knowledge.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.Previous experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$18.50 - $38.82

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
