**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** As a Maintenance Technician, you will diagnose mechanical issues by observing equipment in operation and using precision measuring/testing instruments. You will dismantle and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools. Inspecting and measuring parts with calipers, micrometers, and other instruments to determine dimensional changes is also a critical part of your role. Additionally, you will adjust and repair functional parts using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Your expertise will help minimize downtime by educating production staff on preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance. Maintaining an inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies, anticipating needs, and restocking accordingly will also fall under your responsibilities. The environment is a hot, heavy industrial, automated food manufacturing plant. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Effingham, South Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
