**Position Details:**
+ **Indiana OpCo Work Location:** 877 Perry Rd., Plainfield, IN 46168
+ **Work Schedule:** Monday–Friday, day shift; after-hours/on-call support as required for critical failures and project cutovers
+ **Compensation:** Base salary, depending on experience, plus bonus potential based on KPIs!
**Position Summary:**
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance, reliability, and asset-care functions for a 300,000 sq. ft. distribution center operating complex conveyor systems, PIT fleets, refrigerated environments, and emerging automation.
This role is not reactive facilities upkeep. The Maintenance Manager will design, implement, and own:
+ A site-wide preventive maintenance (PM) program
+ CMMS selection, implementation, and governance
+ Maintenance readiness for conveyance retrofits, palletized loading conversion, and PLC-controlled sortation
Success in this role requires strong technical credibility, disciplined program execution, and the ability to lead both people and vendors through change.
**Core Responsibilities:**
**Reliability & Maintenance Systems**
+ Build and own a preventive maintenance program covering conveyance, PIT, refrigeration, and facility systems
+ Lead CMMS selection, implementation, and ongoing governance
+ Establish asset standards, failure-response protocols, and documentation
+ Develop critical-spares strategy and parts inventory controls
**Conveyance & Automation Support**
+ Ensure maintenance readiness for conveyor retrofits and palletized loading conversion
+ Act as site maintenance lead supporting PLC-based tote sortation systems
+ Partner with Engineering, Operations, and vendors during installs, cutovers, and commissioning
+ Own post-go-live stabilization and reliability handoff
**Uptime & Risk Management**
+ Maintain 99%+ uptime for conveyance during operating shifts
+ Develop contingency plans for single-point-of-failure equipment
+ Support of off-shift response for critical failures impacting production
**Leadership & Team Development**
+ Lead, coach, and develop maintenance supervisor and technicians
+ Set expectations around safety, quality of work, and preventive discipline
+ Align staffing and coverage to operational risk, not convenience
**Facilities, Refrigeration & Life Safety**
+ Oversee maintenance of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, compressed air, and building envelope
+ Ensure compliance with fire protection systems, generators, alarms, and refrigeration systems
+ Coordinate inspections, testing, and regulatory documentation
+ Coordinate maintenance of freezer/cooler equipment including doors, condensers, evaporators, and compressors
**Vendor & Financial Management**
+ Manage third-party service providers and emergency repair vendors
+ Support capital projects through execution and technical oversight
+ Control maintenance spend and track cost drivers tied to downtime and reliability

**Required Qualifications:**
•\tHigh School Diploma/GED or Equivalent experience
•\tMust have 5 years of maintenance leadership experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment, including building operations, facilities management or related field with knowledge of building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing and/or security systems
•\tDemonstrated experience with conveyor systems
•\tProven ability to build or significantly improve PM programs
•\tExperience leading teams and managing maintenance vendors
•\tWillingness to support after-hours critical events
