Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to supervise and direct the activities of our Maintenance department, focusing on facilities and processing equipment. The successful candidate will lead the team in establishing and improving equipment maintenance processes, including preventative inspection, corrective repairs, and overhaul planning/execution. This role also involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to ensure safe and successful operations, as well as managing capital projects and the implementation of departmental SOPs.

ResponsibilitiesSupervise and direct activities of employees in the Maintenance department.Lead the team to establish and improve equipment maintenance processes, including preventative inspection, corrective repairs, and overhaul planning/execution.Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in the facility and processing lines to ensure safe and successful operations.Lead the project team for successful installation and commissioning of equipment.Oversee the dismantling or repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment used in production processes.Manage the implementation and enforcement of department SOPs for standardized work.Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiate reordering when necessary.Inspect and audit completed work for conformance and compliance and suggest improvement ideas.Implement and manage the Preventative Maintenance program, ensuring all personnel follow its guidelines.Manage capital projects, including new lines, process design improvements, and innovations.Create and maintain a productive, safe work environment, including implementing and retaining all company-mandated safety-related training and assessments.Essential SkillsElectrical knowledgePreventive maintenance experienceMaintenance technician expertiseElectricity/PLC knowledgeStrong understanding of maintenance equipmentTroubleshooting skillsPneumatics knowledgeMaintenance supervision experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field5+ years of maintenance experience in Food manufacturing or Packaging preferredStrong technical understanding of equipment and maintenance operationsAbility to work under tight timelines and deliver high-quality resultsKnowledge of Computer Skills (Excel & Word)Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to provide leadership and development to the team to achieve objectives and grow their skillsWhy Work Here?

The work environment is a big warehouse that is neither too cold nor too hot. The facility has a food aroma throughout, such as dumplings and soy sauce, and it can be loud depending on the area. It is a very clean environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gilroy, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.70/hr.
