π’ Position Summary & Key Responsibilities
Provides comprehensive leadership and oversight of all facility maintenance operations, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across the Center π§β . Oversees daily facility maintenance activities while maintaining strong quality control over all systems, equipment, and services.
π₯ Staff Leadership & Supervision
Provides overall management and supervision of facility maintenance staff, including the training, mentoring, and oversight of Job Corps Work-Based Learning students assigned to the department π. Ensures all integrity guidelines and procedures are strictly followed, with zero tolerance for manipulation of student data π‘οΈπ.
π Planning, Budgeting & Quality Control
Leads facility maintenance operations through effective planning, budget control, staff development, scheduling, and performance evaluation πΌπ
. Manages and ensures quality control of all facility and equipment subcontracted work performed on Center, including oversight of National Office and Facility Lessor (third-party) projects as they impact Center operations ποΈ.
π€ Collaboration & Project Coordination
Collaborates closely with Center Management during CTST project planning sessions and CTST/Maintenance meetings to ensure all construction and renovation activities meet Company quality control standards and operational requirements π§±βοΈ.
β‘ Preventative Maintenance & Energy Management
Develops, implements, and manages the Center’s energy conservation initiatives, preventative maintenance programs, facility management strategies, and related operational plans π±βοΈ. Oversees the development, management, and effective implementation of a computerized work order system, ensuring timely corrective and preventative maintenance. Coordinates work order processing with CTT instructors to promote meaningful student involvement π»π οΈ.
π Subcontract & Compliance Oversight
Prepares detailed scopes of work for subcontracted services and develops comprehensive punch lists to ensure contractor performance meets subcontract requirements and complies with local, Company, and Government standards πβοΈ.
β±οΈ Staffing, Training & Accountability
Ensures all staff comply with rest and meal break requirements π½οΈ. Fills staff vacancies in a timely manner and motivates, empowers, and holds staff accountable for fulfilling job responsibilities and producing quality work πͺ. Demonstrates strong time-management and delegation skills, supports staff career progression π, and administers corrective action when performance standards are not met.

Provides required and supplemental training for both new and current employees π. Creates a positive and supportive work environment by recognizing accomplishments π, proactively addressing performance concerns, and motivating staff to work effectively as a team.

π Education & Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A degree from an accredited institution or a technical certification is preferred π. Three (3) or more years of experience in a supervisory capacity is required, with an Electrician, HVAC, and/or Plumbing license preferred π§βοΈπΏ.

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull and/or push, carry, reach, stoop, and crouch as part of daily job functions πΆβοΈπͺ.
