Maintenance Lead (Utilities) - Saint Paul, MN - Sprung Services
Salary: $40.00+ per hour Shift: 6a-6p rotating 2-2-3 schedule Job Duties and Responsibilities Perform planned, unplanned, and emergency maintenance or repairs on production, processing, packaging, and utility-related equipment and systems while following all safety procedures. Conduct preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections to assess reliability and performance. Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Support the installation and startup of new equipment. Assist equipment operators with training and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Complete work orders promptly while maintaining high quality standards. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material-handling equipment to perform duties. Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees, informing them of any issues that may affect production efficiency. Ensure all repairs are documented and all paperwork is completed clearly, accurately, and in accordance with standard operating procedures. Stay current on new products, equipment, technologies, and techniques. Apply a continuous improvement mindset to identify and support process improvements. Anticipate parts requirements, follow proper purchasing procedures, and obtain necessary parts ahead of scheduled tasks. Maintain safe working conditions and ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal health and safety regulations. Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience First Class B Boiler Engineer License High school diploma or equivalent Trade school or technical school training preferred (electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.) 4–6 years of experience in maintenance involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLCs, or HVAC, preferably in a manufacturing environment Experience with various equipment, including lubrication systems, cleaning systems, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, and packaging equipment Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred Certifications or licenses may be required during employment
