1st Shift 7:00AM - 3:30PM@ Monday-Friday

Pay Rate $20.00-22.00 depending on experience

Job Description

Perform a variety of activities in support of the facility including floor scrubbing, restroom and office cleaning, trash removal, yard clean-up, and snow removal. Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and light maintenance duties. Operate the sump sucker and recycling system, assist with cleaning production equipment, and utilize forklifts and scissor lifts. Conduct facility inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance on HVAC units.

Responsibilities

Perform floor scrubbing, restroom and office cleaning, trash removal, yard clean-up, and snow removal.Remove and dispose of metal chips from production equipment.Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning machines, changing metalworking fluids, and cleaning sumps and tanks.Assist with light maintenance duties, including restocking supplies, changing light bulbs, and cleaning roof drains.Operate the sump sucker and recycling system for maintaining metalworking fluids.Assist with cleaning all production equipment.Perform janitorial tasks as required.Utilize forklifts and scissor lifts to perform maintenance tasks.Read and interpret work orders to perform required maintenance tasks.Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.Perform other general shop duties or assist other departments as business demands.Conduct and document facility inspections, including fire extinguishers, life safety equipment, and forklifts.Perform basic preventative maintenance on HVAC units within the facility and rooftop units.Promote a positive, professional atmosphere and support activities that enhance employee welfare and morale.Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies.

Skills

1-2 years of maintenance experience or 3-4 years in a manufacturing facility.Experience operating powered industrial trucks.Ability to work with sketches, oral, or written instructions with minimal supervision.Proficiency in operating a variety of powered industrial trucks.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Strong initiative, integrity, and ability to work as a team member.Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts.Ability to speak, write, and read English and interpret documents.Basic computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with operating powered industrial trucks is helpful.Ability and desire to serve as a mentor for maintenance personnel.Regular attendance and punctuality.Ability to work overtime as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newtown, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
