**Job Title: Maintenance Engineer** **Job Description**
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of CNC equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate service records and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance tasks for CNC equipment in accordance with manufacturer and plant standards.
+ Maintain accurate PM logs, documentation, and equipment service records.
+ Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system faults on CNC machines, robots, and support equipment.
+ Utilize root-cause analysis to minimize repeat failures and guide corrective actions.
+ Respond promptly to breakdowns ensuring minimal production interruption.
+ Perform component replacement and repair, including spindles, ball screws, bearings, pumps, motors, drives, and control boards.
+ Inspect, align, and calibrate CNC machine components for precision performance.
+ Work with PLC and CNC controls to test inputs/outputs and verify operational integrity.
+ Recommend upgrades or adjustments to improve machine reliability, efficiency, and safety.
+ Participate in cross-functional teams for process or equipment improvement initiatives.
+ Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety policies including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
+ Ensure equipment repairs comply with OSHA, NFPA, and local regulatory standards.
+ Provide technical guidance to operators and production staff on proper machine usage and care.
+ Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new CNC machinery.
+ Ability to work overtime hours as necessary.
+ Available to travel to Michigan location for training for 6-8 weeks.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
+ Experience with industrial electrical troubleshooting and Lockout/Tagout.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ Availability to travel for 6-8 weeks for training.
+ High School Diploma or GED.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Working knowledge of PLC Systems.
+ Experience in CNC Maintenance.

**Work Environment**
The work environment offers two openings: one for the first shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday) and another for the second shift from 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. (Monday-Thursday). Some intermittent travel may be required to Michigan for training, with hotels and per diem for meals covered. Training occurs Monday-Friday, with weekends at home. Upon training completion, the position will be full-time on-site in Hudson, OH, with no further travel required. The facility is very clean and well-organized, featuring machinery brands like Mazak, Okuma, Porta Mills, Samsung, Hydromat, Cincinnati Grinders, and Sinico, with machine controls including Fanuc, Siemens, and Haas. Tools will be provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, OH.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00/hr.
