**Job Title: Maintenance Engineer** **Job Description** The maintenance engineer will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of production equipment and systems within a herbs and vegetable processing plant. This position requires knowledge of mechanical and electrical industrial equipment and machinery, as well as ammonia/refrigeration systems. Experience in fabrication/welding is also a plus. **Responsibilities** + Repair and maintain production equipment and systems. + Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in industrial machinery. + Service ammonia and refrigeration systems. + Engage in fabrication and welding tasks as needed. + Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices in a food processing environment. **Essential Skills** + 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience with mechanical and electrical systems. + Certifiable for forklift operation. + 1+ years of experience working in a food processing environment. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Proficiency in arithmetic operations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with preventative maintenance, welding, RETA certification, refrigeration, industrial maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, HVAC, and facilities maintenance. + Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a competitive shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. These openings are on swing and graveyard shifts, with initial training on the day shift. Days and shifts are: Day (6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), Swing (2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), and Grave (10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.). Days off are Swing (Mon/Tue) and Grave (Wed/Thurs). Overtime is required, typically amounting to 7-18% annually. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Turlock, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
