Overview Join our team at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center, where excellence and service meet in a welcoming, dynamic environment. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure our guestrooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas remain in top condition—providing a safe, attractive, and well-maintained experience for our guests and team members. Key Responsibilities: Perform a variety of maintenance tasks involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, masonry, and general repairs. Inspect and maintain guestrooms, public areas, and operational spaces—replacing or repairing items such as light fixtures, switches, outlets, hardware, faucets, furniture, wall coverings, and more. Use hand and power tools to complete repairs and installations. Maintain accurate logs and inspection records in English. Climb ladders (up to 30 feet), lift up to 100 lbs (and push/pull up to 200 lbs), and work overhead or in confined spaces as needed. Support other team members and departments as assigned, including reporting larger maintenance issues and assisting with special projects. Qualifications Qualifications: Proven experience in general maintenance or engineering, with knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry systems. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Skilled in the use of various tools and able to perform physically demanding tasks. Able to work independently with good judgment and initiative. Flexible schedule availability to meet business needs, including weekends and holidays.
