Job Description

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of equipment and facilities to ensure smooth production operations. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, log maintenance activities, and play a critical role in maintaining production efficiency.

Responsibilities

Ensure production lines are operational and perform routine checks.Act as the first responder to maintenance issues in your assigned area.Log the time and details of each repair to track recurring issues.Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery Troubleshoot and repair control systems, with a focus on PLC systems.Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.Use standard electrical test equipment and hand tools for repairs.Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to safety protocols.Assist with additional tasks such as water tank maintenance, wiring new machines, and setting up warehouse racking as needed.

Essential Skills

3 - 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in manufacturing.Strong troubleshooting abilities in electrical and mechanical repairs.Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, including interpreting ladder logic.Ability to repair and replace hydraulics and pneumatics.Strong electrical skills, including reading schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in bending conduit and pulling wire for electrical service is preferred.Familiarity with Allen-Bradley and Direct Logic PLCs.Preferred welding experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick Welding.High math skills and mechanical aptitude.Experience with standard hand tools and measuring instruments.Technical certification or an associate degree is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

The facility is temperature-controlled and clean, with production stations throughout. The work schedule includes the option for overtime, with shifts from Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday shifts. Safety is a priority, requiring steel toe shoes, hearing, and eye protection in some areas. The dress code includes jeans or work pants and short or long-sleeved shirts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $74880.00/yr.
