Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to assist in minor to moderate preventative maintenance duties on electrical and electronic systems. This role involves working with 3-phase systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), machinery, and controls under limited supervision, providing latitude for independent judgment.

ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems.Start up and shut down equipment in accordance with operation's requirements and company safety procedures.Visually inspect and test electrical machinery and equipment.Dismantle, inspect, and replace electrical machinery and defective electrical parts.Lay out, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatuses, equipment, wiring, including panels and breakers.Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial control systems, including instrumentation and power distribution equipment.Perform PLC programming, troubleshooting, and program documentation maintenance.Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems.Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, schematics, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Apply electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, and principles of operation of electrical equipment.Follow guidance from more senior level colleagues and assist more junior level colleagues with routine questions.Adhere to safety rules including live panel permits, arc flash safety, NEC codes, and other safety rules that govern electrical trades.Follow the operations and company safety procedures and practices.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma (or equivalent) and 2-4 years of experience.Ability to install and maintain electrical systems and controls.Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently.Willingness and ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.Completion of courses or demonstrated knowledge and skill in Basic Electrical Safety, Basic Industrial Safety, AC Circuits and Machinery, DC Circuits and Machinery, Electrical Troubleshooting, and National Electrical Code.Must submit pre-placement background check.Additional Skills & QualificationsOccasional climbing/balancing.Continuous standing and frequent lifting/carrying, stooping/bending/squatting/pulling/pushing.Twisting of the trunk and neck, reaching and grasping/squeezing.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work a 12-hour night shift schedule from 6 pm to 6 am (2, 2, 3). The role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently and involves continuous standing and frequent lifting/carrying, stooping/bending/squatting/pulling/pushing, twisting of the trunk and neck, reaching, and grasping/squeezing. This position requires occasional climbing and balancing. The work environment is safety-focused, adhering to live panel permits, arc flash safety, NEC codes, and other safety rules that govern electrical trades.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $40.00/hr.
