The Electrical Technician is responsible for conducting, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. This role requires applying knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles to determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to operation. The technician provides skilled electrical/electronic support across all areas and must demonstrate essential competencies to perform these functions successfully.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment including programmable logic controllers, power supplies, motor starters, frequency drives, sensors, and gauges.Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and perform scheduled maintenance during machine service.Advise operators and line mechanics on operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment.Inform management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers.Maintain required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform necessary maintenance and service.Recommend spare parts and materials needed for inventory.Document and maintain daily paperwork in a timely manner.Assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.Comply with OSHA Safety, NEC, FDA, GMPs, HACCP food safety, and health rules.Help develop best practices/processes and training as needed.Understand and provide good customer service.Perform other duties as assigned or needed.Essential SkillsBasic understanding of electrical symbols, drawings, and schematics.Basic AC/DC electrical theory, including Ohm's Law.Basic use of electrical test equipment such as DMM, amp meter, and probes.Basic components identification and theory including contactors, sensors, drives, and overloads.Basic knowledge of wiring, conduit, LOTO, and NEC code.Ability to work on AC/DC low voltage circuits.Troubleshooting basic PLC I/O visually and with the use of DMM.Basic electrical troubleshooting, including motors, VFD drives, electrical devices, and other control devices like RTDs and level sensors.Ability to perform calibration and configuration of drives, transducers, sensors, etc.Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions with minimal direction.Ability to learn and apply structured problem-solving in a team environment.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Ability to work within a team environment and with external partners.Self-motivated and able to achieve high impact in an unstructured environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsOpen to working 1st and 2nd shifts.Why Work Here?Join a company that offers a great training program with ample opportunities for growth. Work EnvironmentThe team operates within four departments: juice extraction, processing, filling, and plastics. Work schedules include three shifts: 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 2nd shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, and 3rd shift from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. During harvest, employees work mostly six days a week, with 12-hour days from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, ensuring a minimum of one day off per week. Overtime is available.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
