Electrical Technician

$34-$37/hr DOE

Shifts :M-F 7a-3p overtime and weekends as needed 

M-F 3p-11p overtime and weekends as needed  (All shifts need to be flexible on 1st shift)

SUMMARY:Maintain machinery and equipment, concentrating on electrical systems to ensure OEM quality and operational excellence.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

Perform duties of Industrial Maintenance Electro-Mechanic Tech ‘A’.PLC, Drives and Computer documentation and maintenance including contractor interface.Electrical projects including contractor interface.JDE training and oversight.Parts Room inventory control.Management of equipment documentation.Department IT coordinator.Oversight of high level electrical troubleshooting.Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations contributing to overall safety of the Plant. Exhibit Smurfit Westrock Culture in all facets of the job.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE 

High School Diploma or GED; some college or training in a technical field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance. 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Proficient in English; excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Excellent general math skills

 

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to trouble shoot, schedule and plan maintenance.
