Our client Maintenance Custodian to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Attention to Detail, dependability, adaptability and flexibility which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title: Maintenance Custodian** **Location: Manistee, MI** **Pay Range: $16.15 an hour** **What’s the Job?** + Monitors the operation of heating and air conditioning units, checking filters, adding boiler chemicals, trouble-shooting problems, changing belts and motors, etc. + Replaces light ballasts, motors, pumps, replacing outlets and light switches and changes fuses. + Performs a variety of carpentry tasks such as repairing door frames, building walls and construction of storage and shelving units. + Performs plumbing repairs such unplugging toilets, sinks and sanitary sewer lines, repairs leaks and installs new fixtures. + Inspects buildings to ensure proper custodial care **What’s Needed?** + High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in maintenance and repair of building and mechanical systems + Knowledge of general building repair, maintenance, HVAC systems repair. + Knowledge of building trades including, but not limited to, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, construction, masonry, welding, and diagnosing and solving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems. + Knowledge and skill in the use of a variety of power and hand tools used for the repair, installation, and maintenance of County buildings and property. + Skills in effectively communicating ideas and concepts orally and in writing. **What’s in it for me?** + Health, dental, vision and 401K + Independence and team work + Skill Growth- Gain valuable hands-on experience + Paid time off + Active work environment- Stay on your feet If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
