**Job Title: Maintenance Controller**
**Job Description**
As a Maintenance Controller, you will provide clear and precise information affecting maintenance status, action plans, and return to service estimates. You will communicate technical details as needed to Flight Operations, Management, and Maintenance Department personnel. Your role involves direct communication with flight crew members to address operational discrepancies and gather essential information for technicians to perform effective repairs. You will utilize maintenance tracking computer systems to plan, schedule, and manage logistics for all scheduled maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with aircraft inspection programs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Update the Computerized Maintenance Tracking Program with verified compliance information using audited return-to-service documentation.
+ Update Flight Operations Software (FOS) in real-time, indicating aircraft fleet maintenance status.
+ Ensure mechanical delays are handled safely and promptly in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
+ Coordinate with Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Purchasing to expedite aircraft return to service.
+ Control and track all deferred maintenance items (DMI) and ensure necessary parts are ordered per procedures.
+ Authorize deferred maintenance items (DMI), including MEL, CDL, and MCI.
+ Ensure all deferrals are accomplished in accordance with company manuals and FARs.
+ Complete and distribute all applicable forms and documents as per company General Maintenance Manual procedures.
+ Track parts and equipment while they are in transit to aircraft on ground (AOG).
+ Provide a point of contact and control for maintenance performed on company aircraft away from the main maintenance base by company personnel or contract maintenance.
+ Perform maintenance planning in the issuance and tracking of scheduled maintenance workload.
+ Obtain required approvals and complete Ferry Flight Authorization Forms.
+ Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance performed on company aircraft.
+ Fulfill other duties as assigned by leadership.
**Essential Skills**
+ Maintenance control experience on CRJ or ERJ aircraft is required.
+ 5+ years experience as a mechanic on CRJ 200.
+ A&P License.
+ Expertise in aircraft maintenance, especially maintenance control.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.
+ Experience with CRJ or ERJ airframes is required.
+ Ability to work a varying schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, Tennessee.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $40.86/hr.
