Maintenance Assistant Manager

Job Title: Assistant Maintenance Manager

Job Description

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for reporting team activity and progress through visual management techniques, managing practices for maintenance leaders across all shifts, and coordinating projects to enhance uptime. Your ability to communicate effectively, both individually and in group settings, will be essential as you report downtime instances and repair progress to executives.

Responsibilities

Report team activity and progress through visual management tools.Manage general practices for maintenance leaders during all shifts.Communicate with executives regarding downtime instances and repair progress.Complete work orders as per the directives.Review downtime data to create improvement projects.Coordinate daily activities to ensure the availability of parts and supplies.Retest equipment with associates and leadership to verify quality and performance.Transfer time-sensitive repair and improvement work across shifts to maintain production operations.Assist in the development of associates in behavior and skill set.Schedule training according to annual budget approvals.Initiate, plan, execute, control, and report team work to achieve improvement goals.Continuously identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environment.Promote kaizen activity.Foster a teamwork atmosphere through excellent communication and respect for people.Ensure effectiveness of downtime countermeasures, check sheet completion, work orders, and project schedules.

Essential Skills

Experience in maintenance management and supervision.Proficient in repair and troubleshooting.Industrial maintenance knowledge.Leadership experience.Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in maintenance technician and supervision roles.Mechanical skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
