**Maintenance Assistant** Currently hiring a Maintenance Assistant in the Joliet, IL area. Hiring immediately. **Shift:** 1st shift, Monday - Friday. **Job Description** + Repair basic industrial pumps used for blending and transferring hazardous chemicals. + Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on mobile equipment including bobcats and skidsteers. + Operate Bobcat, dump truck, plow, and welding equipment as needed. + Conduct general facility maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, sweeping floors, and cutting grass. + Act as first response to spills within the facility. + Perform other maintenance-related tasks such as cutting and threading pipes and replacing dead batteries in forklifts. + Preventive maintenance + Experience with pumps and piping + Mechanical aptitude + Knowledge of industrial maintenance and rotating equipment + Electrical knowledge **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Pipefitting experience + Capability to operate mobile equipment, climb ladders, and use maintenance tools safely + Heavy industrial maintenance experience is a plus + Experience working with hydraulics + Any welding experience + Chemical or pump repair experience + Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures **Why Work Here?** Employees benefit from a supportive and family-oriented company culture where they are cross-trained and receive a 401K match and three weeks of vacation.
