Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with expertise in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation of our facility's equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including 480 volts.Change gearboxes and motors as needed.Conduct preventive maintenance 50% of the time.Utilize PLC troubleshooting and work on 3-phase electrical systems.Handle hydraulic and pneumatic systems as part of maintenance duties.

Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Ability to read and interpret schematics.Proficiency in VFD and PLC troubleshooting.Experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance.Ability to work with 3-phase, 480V electrical systems.Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical domains.

Work Environment

The role is based in a food manufacturing facility specializing in bread, with a temperature maintained at 68 degrees year-round. The team consists of 13 mechanics across all shifts. Employees must be comfortable working at heights, climbing up to 80 feet on silos, and wearing safety equipment including respirators/SCBA. The dress code includes smocks and hair/beard nets.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HAZLETON, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
