**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment within our facility. The ideal candidate will spend approximately 50% of their time on preventive maintenance and demonstrate proficiency with 480 volt systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment. + Perform preventive maintenance tasks. + Change gearboxes and motors as needed. + Work with 480 volt systems and Variable Frequency Drives. + Collaborate with other mechanics across shifts to ensure smooth operations. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in troubleshooting 480 volt systems. + Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). + Mechanical and electrical maintenance skills. + Ability to work with 3-phase electrical systems. + Experience in PLC troubleshooting. + Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + No formal education or certifications required. + Ability to read and understand schematics. **Work Environment** This role is set in a food manufacturing facility specializing in bread production. The environment maintains a constant temperature of 68 degrees year-round. Technicians must be comfortable working at heights, including climbing on 80ft silos, and be willing to wear a respirator or SCBA. The dress code includes wearing smocks, hair nets, and beard nets. The position requires working the night shift from 11pm to 7:30am, Tuesday through Saturday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HAZLETON, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
