This job is part of the Office Operations function. They are responsible for providing office support to a client, business function or individual contributor. **What You’ll Do:** Receiving Hub Tasks: (Morning Tasks) + Approve or reject deliveries based on inspections and check for contraband. + Ensure that all packages received and delivered arrive the same day or advise the consignee of next-day arrival. + Ensure all shipped packages are protected against damage. + Process shipment requests with a vendor, advising package owner of arrangements. + Apply appropriate postage amounts and required identification to outgoing mail and packages. + Check daily and replenish, if necessary, all mail and postage supplies. + Answer common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisors and effectively present information to an internal group. + Recognize and solve typical and atypical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval. + Evaluate and select solutions from established options. + Impact team through the quality of the services or information provided. + Follow standardized procedures and practices and receive regular but moderate supervision and guidance. + Research packages if recipient is unknown + Create chain of custody labels using internal handhelds/software systems. + Load package carts + General dock/warehouse tasks. Afternoon Dock Support (Provide Coverage at Delivery Service Docks) + The receiving tasks occur in the morning.Employee will go to a delivery service dock in the afternoon and provide back up support for the delivery of packages. + Bring mail, packages, copy products, and stationery to assigned groups or locations as per the daily schedule. + Stock copy rooms and provide first communication for copier fleet production. + Delivery of packages using our chain of custody handhelds. + Investigate lost packages and resolve customer inquiries. **What You’ll Need:** + High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience. + An established understanding of work routines and standards and applying skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures, and systems are required. + Requires intermediate problem-solving skills with the capacity to review and select solutions from available options without supervisory approval. + Ability to explain detailed and complicated information within the team in a clear and concise manner. + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
