**Job Title: Machinist Supervisor**
**Job Description**
As a Machinist Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the Production department, reporting directly to the Production Manager. You will oversee the Machining team, ensuring that work orders are efficiently delegated based on specialty, complexity, and availability. You will utilize shop computers to record hours and scan your badge to track work progress. Your expertise in reading and understanding work orders and product blueprints will be crucial. You will program machines, operate lathe machines, and manage raw materials and parts for precision component creation.
**Responsibilities**
+ Delegate work orders to the Machining team based on specialty, complexity, and availability.
+ Utilize shop computers to record hours and manage work order progression.
+ Read and comprehend work orders and product blueprints.
+ Program machines according to work order specifications.
+ Operate lathe machines for precision component creation.
+ Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines.
+ Perform test runs to ensure machine outputs meet specifications.
+ Inspect and monitor parts throughout fabrication for quality assurance.
+ Maintain, organize, and clean equipment to ensure safety.
+ Notify the Production Manager of faulty equipment or defective materials.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
+ Experience in operating CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines.
+ Solid understanding of machining processes and techniques.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment issues.
+ Strong attention to detail in machinery operation and maintenance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Accreditation from a technical school or skilled trades program.
+ 4 - 6 years of experience in machining processes.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marlboro, New Jersey.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $51.00/hr.
