**Job Title: Machinist/Programmer** **Job Description**
A company specializing in hydraulic manifolds is seeking an experienced Mill Machinist/Programmer to join their team in Lenexa. This role is crucial for setting up, maintaining, and aiding in the operation of CNC Milling Machines while directly assisting the programmer.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up, maintain, and operate CNC Milling Machines.
+ Develop project documentation and machine code using applications like MasterCam, Vericut, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office products.
+ Troubleshoot programming and machining issues, providing necessary advice.
+ Monitor the quality of parts manufactured and meet production deadlines while maintaining quality.
+ Work collaboratively with peers to maintain production schedules.
+ Document and maintain tool inventory and assist in developing best practices.
+ Set up machining centers and produce in-tolerance set up pieces.
+ Inspect parts using in-process inspection methods and handle non-conforming materials appropriately.
+ Deburr parts as per standard work instructions and visually inspect for abnormalities.
+ Work in a team environment to achieve production goals and run/clean multiple machines as directed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with G&M codes, CNC programming, MasterCam, Solidworks, and machining.
+ Knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CMM.
+ Recent experience with MasterCam, Vericut, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office products.
+ Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with peers and supervisors.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Formal technical school training is preferred.
+ Experience with CAD/CAM, Lathe, Blueprint reading, Micrometer, Inspection techniques, and use of Haas, Okuma, and Fanuc machines.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a climate-controlled facility dedicated to producing hydraulic manifolds, with a small to medium-sized machine shop setup. The team consists of 5-7 people including Operators, Machinists, and a Lead. The dress code is relaxed, consisting of jeans or shorts, T-shirts, and steel-toed shoes. The company culture promotes a laid-back atmosphere with clear expectations for meeting deadlines.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LENEXA, KS.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
