Job Description

Join a cutting-edge team that designs and manufactures tactical robots for military applications. As a Machinist, you’ll work in a dynamic machine shop environment where precision and innovation matter. This is not a repetitive production role—you’ll be challenged with diverse tasks, from setup to troubleshooting, ensuring every component meets strict military standards.

Responsibilities

Set up and execute machining runs based on detailed drawings and specifications.Assess tolerances, materials, and speeds to ensure optimal performance.Perform quality checks using calipers and other precision measuring tools.Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed.Maintain accurate documentation for all products in compliance with military standards.

Essential Skills

Experience: Minimum 1 year as a manual machinist, with exposure to CNC mills, lathes, saws, and grinders.Technical Skills: Ability to work with tight tolerances and interpret drawings, sketches, and blueprints.Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and confidence in machine operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Acu-Rite Mills power controls is an asset.Ability to work with 2, 3, AXIS machines.Experience in scheduled timelines for runs and the ability to stay on task.

Work Environment

You’ll work in a machine shop attached to a production area. Expect a hands-on environment that can be loud and warm, with typical shop odors. Safety is a priority—hearing protection, gloves, and glasses are provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
