MACHINIST, MAINTENANCE

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or GED; 5+ years of machining experienceAbility to interpret technical manuals, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, and perform basic layout functionsIndividuals are required to possess their own basic hand toolsExperience including setup, operating, with vertical and/or horizontal 5 axis mills

Preferred:

Strong mathematical skillsVocational, Technical, Community Colleges or Apprentice programsMachine technology educational programShipbuilding/Marine Advanced Manufacturing Institute (SAMI) program completion

Skills
 

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsSelf-starter with good problem solving skillsAbility to work in a collaborative and team environment to meet organizational goal

Physical Qualifications

Climbing, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting

Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain Secret security clearance.
