Thinking beyond opportunity and reward, at Flowserve, we are inspired by working together to create extraordinary flow control solutions to make the world better for everyone! **Role Summary** + To operate conventional lathe and milling machines for precision machining of components as per engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules, ensuring safe work practices at all times. **Responsibilities:** Machine Operation + Set up and operate conventional lathes and milling machines as per job requirements. + Read and interpret engineering drawings and job instructions. + Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for different materials. Quality Control + Inspect machined components using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicators. + Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish specifications. + Record inspection results and maintain proper documentation. Maintenance & Housekeeping + Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and tools. + Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards. Safety Compliance + Follow all safety guidelines, including PPE usage and safe machine operation. + Report unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. Continuous Improvement + Suggest process improvements to enhance productivity and quality. + Participate in training programs to upgrade skills. **Requirements:** + ITI Turner / ITI Machinist OR completion of a full-term apprenticeship. + ITI with apprenticeship completion can apply. + 2–5 years of experience in conventional lathe and milling operations is preferred. + Knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, and material properties. + Candidate can read and speak Kannada. + Ability to read engineering drawings. + Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality standards. + Physical & Work Requirements + Ability to stand for long periods.
