As a Machinist at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, located in Wheatland, PA, you will play a vital role in supporting our production operations through precision machining, maintenance, and setup of tools and equipment. This position is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety who enjoy hands-on, detail-oriented work in an industrial manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

Lay out work and set up machining operations according to specifications.

Experience with a manual lathe required.

Operate machine tools and fabricate or repair parts to required standards.

Ensure accuracy and precision in all machining and assembly tasks.

Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery and related equipment.

Follow all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.

Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support continuous operations.

Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Work rotational shifts and overtime as needed to meet production demands.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are

Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and proven problem-solving skills.

Excellent work ethic and commitment to maintaining safety standards.

Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.

Solid employment history with verifiable professional references.

Must successfully complete a post-offer physical, background check, and drug test.

Knowledge of repair and maintenance in an industrial setting preferred.

Physical Abilities

Regularly lift and/or carry 50+ pounds.

Proficient with hand and power tools, including Bridgeport and lathe equipment.

Must be able to stand and walk for at least 95% of the shift.
