Job Title: MachinistJob Description

We are seeking a skilled machinist to operate and adjust multi-axis CNC machining centers, manual lathes, and drill presses for various metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and high alloys. The role involves editing CNC machinery programs, interpreting blueprints for production orders, and performing quality assurance inspections of parts.

ResponsibilitiesOperate and make adjustments to multi-axis CNC machining centers, manual lathes, and drill presses.Edit CNC machinery programs for each part based on production order blueprints.De-burr castings prior to machining.Perform quality assurance inspections according to specifications.Maintain efficiency records of equipment.Conduct manual statistical testing to ensure machine specifications are met.Perform machine setup duties.Perform safety and housekeeping tasks.Conduct preventative maintenance tasks.
Essential SkillsProficiency in CNC machine operation and programming.Strong mechanical skills.Ability to perform workshop math, including trigonometry and geometry.Experience using non-powered hand tools such as mallets, hammers, pry-bars, screwdrivers, wrenches, micrometers, indicators, and height gauges.Capability to read and interpret blueprints for production orders.Solid problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience operating jib cranes and hoists.Attention to detail.Positive attitude and desire to learn.

The work environment includes regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment of various sizes. The employee may occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level is typically moderate.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $76960.00/yr.
