Position Title: CNC Mill Machinist

Location: Auburn, WA

Overview:

We are looking for a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our dynamic aerospace production team. This position involves operating sophisticated multi-axis CNC milling equipment to manufacture precision components for aerospace and space applications. The ideal candidate will bring a strong experience in machining complex parts and a commitment to quality and efficiency.

Primary Duties:

Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.Use precision inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges to verify part accuracy.Apply advanced math skills, including geometry and trigonometry, to support machining processes.Prepare CNC machines with appropriate tooling and work holding setups, including vises, tombstones, pallets, and custom fixtures.Operate vertical and horizontal CNC mills with 3-axis to 5-axis capabilities, ensuring optimal performance and part quality.

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in CNC machining, with a focus on milling operations.Proficiency in operating 5-axis CNC milling centers, especially Makino MAG3 or similar high-performance machines.Experience in aerospace manufacturing, with experience working with aluminum and other high-grade materials used in defense applications.Strong knowledge of high-speed machining techniques for both hard metals and lightweight alloys.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
