Job Title: MachinistJob Description

Join our team as a Machinist at a leading Valve & Coupling Company in Dallas, North Carolina. We specialize in manufacturing and distributing high-quality fluid power valves and hose fittings. Our products are extensively used across various industries including oil & gas, chemical processing, food & beverage, and construction. ResponsibilitiesOperate computer numerical controlled (CNC) mills and lathes to produce precision metal components.Inspect products to ensure they meet drawing specifications using blueprints and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Operate multiple CNC machines, ensuring efficient production runs.Perform daily maintenance activities on machinery to ensure optimal performance.Participate in training sessions to gain a deeper understanding of our products.Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.Ensure a safe working environment around equipment and coworkers.Adapt to rotating assignments as needed.
Essential SkillsProficiency in operating CNC lathes, preferably with 2-3 years of experience.Ability to use measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.Experience operating 3-4 machines simultaneously.High school diploma or equivalent.At least 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist.Strong aptitude for math, mechanics, and computers.Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use hand tools.Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.Ability to develop programming skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience setting up machines such as Myzak or Okuma.Tight tolerance experience (1-2 thousandths +/- 5,000).Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.Willingness to learn and be part of a team.Mechanical aptitude.

Work Environment

Our facility boasts a climate-controlled, open environment that is conducive to productivity and collaboration. We operate mostly with Japanese CNC Machines such as Nakamura and Okuma, which are compatible with the Fanuc operating system, and occasionally with Italian CNC Solazzo machines. You'll be working on twin spindle/twin turret lathe machines with 5-6 axis capabilities, processing materials like carbon steel, brass, stainless steel, and aluminum. The facility is equipped with seven new units to enhance production capabilities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
