Seeking an experienced Machinist for a company in Statesville, NC

Job Responsibilities

Operate and maintain lathe and milling machinesReview drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate productionTake precise measurements for cutting or shapingSelect appropriate machine and settings for a given taskPlan proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignmentMonitor production adjusts feed and other settings as necessaryMaintain inventory of completed productsCheck output for quality assurance and documents or discards defectsidentify need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairsMaintain a safe and clean workstationContribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Essential Skills

Proficiency in welding, fabricating and machining, including mills and lathes.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.Familiarity with plasma cutting and structural steel work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
