We are seeking a skilled Machinist to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by setting up and operating machine shop equipment. You will also fit and assemble machine parts into production equipment.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify equipment requirements by studying product specifications and equipment blueprints.Implement work assignments by studying drawings, blueprints, manuals, and specifications, selecting tools and materials as needed.Fabricate equipment parts by setting up and operating manual machines such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders, and verifying dimensions.Install equipment by fabricating and assembling parts as needed.Modify equipment by adapting pneumatic, hydraulic, and associated systems; specifying materials.Maintain machine shop equipment by diagnosing and correcting equipment failures.Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and organized condition by adhering to the company's standards and policies, following prescribed safety regulations and alerting the appropriate person regarding potential concerns.
Essential Skills3-5 years' experience in manual/CNC machining.Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematics.Experience with Davenport machines is preferred.CNC Programming experience would be advantageous.Proficiency in using vertical mill, calipers, and micrometer.
Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent.3-5 years' experience machining with previous experience on all phases of machining operations.Ability to work with tools and precision measurement devices.
