**_Seeking an experienced Machinist for a company in Statesville, NC_**
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Operate and maintain lathe and milling machines
+ Review drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production
+ Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping
+ Select appropriate machine and settings for a given task
+ Plan proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment
+ Monitor production adjusts feed and other settings as necessary
+ Maintain inventory of completed products
+ Check output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects
+ identify need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs
+ Maintain a safe and clean workstation
+ Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in welding, fabricating and machining, including mills and lathes.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
+ Familiarity with plasma cutting and structural steel work.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
