**Job Title: Machinist** Job Description This machinist role is essential for a manufacturing company, where you will support the assembly team by creating necessary parts for building drills. Your primary responsibility will be making rotors. Responsibilities + Operate Mazak lathes to produce parts, transitioning them to a less utilized lathe for increased productivity. + Set up machines and make minor edits to programs using G code or similar controls. + Load materials into machines and oversee production runs. + Manage production schedules ranging from 6-12 parts to over 100, with orders potentially taking up to two days. + Maintain a tolerance of +/- .002. + Utilize personal quality tools such as micrometers and calipers. + Perform basic math operations with decimals and fractions. + Occasionally use a Bridgeport to drill holes as needed. + Operate a forklift to move materials for production. Essential Skills + 2+ years of experience with machining on mills or lathes. + Experience in machine setup. + Proficiency in reading blueprints. + Proven ability to maintain a tolerance of +/- .002 or better.
