The ideal candidate should have a preference for manual machining, be skilled in reading technical drawings, and be adept at using precision measurement tools. You will also be tasked with maintaining equipment, ensuring quality control, and collaborating with engineers and production teams to enhance processes. Safety and organization within the workspace are paramount. Responsibilities + Set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, saws, and CNC machines. + Interpret and accurately read technical drawings and schematics. + Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure tight tolerances. + Perform routine equipment checks and minor repairs to maintain machinery. + Inspect finished parts and document any discrepancies. + Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve processes. + Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Essential Skills + 5+ years of machining experience with lathes, mills, drills, and saws. + Strong understanding of machining processes and CNC programming. + Proficiency in shop math and precision measurement. + Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. + High school diploma required; vocational training or associate degree preferred. + Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
