Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team on the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have experience with setting up machines, changing over tools, adjusting offsets, and running machines efficiently. You will be responsible for inspecting finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges, while working on Mazak and Okuma machines with Fanuc, Mazak, and Okuma controls.

ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate vertical lathe machines.Perform tool changes and adjust offsets as necessary.Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges.Work with Mazak and Okuma machines, utilizing Fanuc, Mazak, and Okuma controls.Collaborate with team members to ensure quality and efficiency in operations.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in full machine setup and multiple tool changes daily.Proficiency in running complex aerospace parts and reading multiple-page blueprints.Ability to inspect own work using bore gauges.Strong commitment to quality and precision in machining.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with blueprint reading and lathe machine operation.Familiarity with horizontal mills, turning centers, and machining processes.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with a 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm and a 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 12:00am. The position includes a 30-minute unpaid break and two paid 10-minute breaks. The manufacturing floor is bright, well-lit, clean, and organized, featuring modern machinery.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
