Job Description
We are seeking a skilled machinist to operate manual machining tools, including lathes, horizontal lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drilling machines. The role involves performing mechanical measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators, and making necessary adjustments to AC/DC electric motors and generators, focusing on motor shaft and gear box parts/bearings.
ResponsibilitiesOperate manual machining tools such as lathes, horizontal lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drilling machines.Perform mechanical measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators.Make necessary adjustments to AC/DC electric motors and generators.Ensure correct shaft measurements and adjustments on motor and gear box parts/bearings.Essential SkillsProficiency with manual lathe, milling, and machining tools.Experience with manual machining and manual lathe operations.Ability to read blueprints and schematics, taking own measurements.Skill in using calipers and micrometers.Additional Skills & QualificationsBasic math experience and functions.Ability to take precise measurements from blueprints and schematics.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a non-climate controlled plant alongside 40 team members. The standard shift is Monday through Friday, from 7am to 4pm, with occasional Saturday work.

This is a Contract position based out of Orlando, Florida.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
