Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machinist with a basic understanding of manufacturing processes, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions. This role requires a proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring precision and quality in all tasks.

ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain machine tools to produce precision parts.Follow technical instructions and blueprints accurately.Use basic measurement tools to ensure accuracy and quality.Maintain safety protocols and practices related to manufacturing.Contribute to team collaboration and problem-solving efforts.Perform manual machining and surface grinding as required.Mentor team members and maintain standard operating procedures.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Strong attention to detail.Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.Ability to use measurement tools accurately.Good problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and organizational skills.Knowledge of safety protocols.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with hand tools and power tools.Proficiency in machine operating, including CNC machines.Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.Ability to edit G-code.Mechanical aptitude and computer skills.Experience with Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is set in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and fumes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required to ensure safety. The position involves standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks, with manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination essential for precision work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buellton, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
