**Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description** This position requires proficiency in shop math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding geometric, algebraic, and trigonometric calculations. The ability to perform metric conversions and read blueprints, specifications, and understand coding is essential. Experience with conversational controls is advantageous. A strong grasp of geometric tolerancing and the ability to calculate feeds and speeds are crucial. **Responsibilities** + Perform shop math calculations and metric conversions. + Read and interpret blueprints and specifications. + Understand and apply geometric tolerancing. + Calculate feeds and speeds for machining processes. + Edit code directly at the machine, acting as a process engineer and programmer. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of setup machining experience preferred. + 3+ years of experience with blueprints and understanding GD&T. + Familiarity with g-code and m-code programming. + Proficiency in vertical lathe, horizontal lathe, and vertical mill operations. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with VTL and rigging with an overhead crane is a plus. + Ability to work with large parts, typically 20 inches or more. + Experience acting as own process engineer/programmer. **Why Work Here?** This opportunity offers flexible start times for 1st and 2nd shifts, with the possibility of four 10-hour shifts on the 2nd and 3rd shifts.
