**Job Title: Machinist**
**Job Description**
This role involves setting up and operating a variety of manual and CNC machines, including mills, drills, grinders, lathes, and horizontal/vertical bores. You will follow detailed methods, standards, and work instructions, select and grind tools based on material properties and machine capabilities, and use measuring devices and shop equipment to ensure precision. Additionally, you will assemble and disassemble components using hand tools.
**Responsibilities**

**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of machining experience.
+ Proficiency with CNC machines.
+ Experience in the automotive field is a plus.
+ Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and read G-code.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Mechanical assembly and disassembly.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Experience with fixture and jig setup.
+ Operation of shop equipment such as bore machines and surface grinders.

**Work Environment**
Work takes place at a GE repair site specializing in steam turbine engine repair. The role is primarily on the 2nd shift from 4pm to 1am, with initial training on the 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Chamblee, Georgia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $57574.40 - $67704.00/yr.
The “B” rate is $32.55 per hour (rounded).
The “C” rate is $27.68 per hour (which is our entry level into the classification).
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Chamblee,GA.
